Jurisdiction

The Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio Council services youth in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Summit and Trumbull Counties. As of January, 1997, jurisdiction was extended into the Northeast region of Ohio. As of April 23, 2003, National Camp Fire approved the annexation of Ashland, Crawford, Holmes, Richland, Wayne and part of Start County into the Camp Fire Northeast Ohio Council.
 

Mission Statement

Camp Fire USA Mission "To build caring, confident youth and future leaders."

The Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio Council accomplishes this mission by providing the best environmental education, in-school, preschool and club programs addressing the community needs of youth in Northeastern Ohio.
 

Camp Fire Purpose

The purpose of Camp Fire is to provide through a program of informational education, opportunities for youth to realize their potential and to function effectively as caring, self directed individuals, responsible to themselves and others; and, as an organization, to seek to improve those conditions in society which affect youth.

Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio Council has a volunteer board of 12-28 members. The top volunteer officer is the President, Judy Larson. The professional staff is headed by the Chief Executive Officer, Barbara Smith.

The Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio Council serves the communities through four program delivery systems; Club, Outdoor Environmental Education, In-school and Teens In Action.
