How We Collect Personal Information

We collect information from a variety of sources. The following are categories of sources from which Personal Information may be collected:

CBOSS may disclose the information we have obtained with our affiliates, business partners, and Service Providers. For example, we may use a vendor to send you an email or postal mail. CBOSS, Inc. does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties in exchange for money.

CBOSS, Inc. does not use or disclose sensitive Personal Information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent. CBOSS, Inc. keeps track of the websites and pages our customers visit within CBOSS, Inc., in order to determine what CBOSS, Inc. services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within CBOSS, Inc. to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

Retention of Personal Information

We will retain Personal Information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as set out in this Privacy Statement, unless a longer retention period is permitted or required by law. We will also retain Personal Information as required to fulfill our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. We may also retain Services usage data to improve the functionality of our Services, and destroy such data in accordance with our internal retention polices.

CBOSS takes reasonable measures to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We use industry standard methods to protect that information. Nonetheless, any transmission of information through the Internet is not entirely secure and we cannot guarantee the security of your information collected through our Services.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information online from individuals under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have obtained Personal Information from an individual under the age of 16, we will delete such information in accordance with application law.

Your Choices

Communication Preferences. If you do not wish to receive marketing emails from us, you can opt out of future emails by following the instructions provided in our emails. Opting out of marketing emails will not affect our administrative emails to you.

How We Share and Sell Personal Information. Although we do not sell personal information in exchange for money, some of the ways in which we share personal information for advertising may be considered “sales” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.

If you are an authorized agent or parent/guardian making a request on behalf of an individual or your minor child, we may require and request additional information to verify that you are authorized to make that request.

California’s “Shine the Light” Law. If you are a California resident, you are entitled, once a year, free of charge, to request information regarding our disclosure, if any, of certain categories of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. Please note that your California’s Shine the Light law rights are distinct from your rights under California privacy law and must be exercised separately.

Information for Users Outside of the United States

If you are using the Services outside of the United States, please be aware that CBOSS is based in the United States and information we obtain through your use of the Services will be transferred to, processed, and stored on our service in the United States. The data protection laws and regulations that apply to your Personal Information may be different from the law in your country of residence.

Changes to this Statement

CBOSS will occasionally update this Privacy Statement. We will indicate any updates to this Statement by changing the “Effective Date” at the beginning of the Privacy Statement.
